Description

Carbomer 680 is a cross-linked acrylic polymer. The polymer has short rheological properties and relatively high viscosity. It is widely used in systems such as transparent gels and creams, and can form crystal clear water-based or hydroalcoholic gels. It is particularly suitable for exfoliating gels, mud creams and other fields.

Carbomer 680 is an acrylic polymer with polyalkenyl ether cross-linking. It has strong hygroscopicity and certain acidity (because it contains carboxyl groups), and can be neutralized with alkaline substances to form highly transparent gels. After the carbomer resin is neutralized and the carboxyl groups are ionized, the molecular chains are diffused and stretched due to the mutual repulsion of negative charges, showing a greatly expanded state and viscosity. Therefore, at a very low dosage, the carbomer resin can produce an efficient thickening effect without being affected by temperature, and can make some insoluble additives (particles, oil droplets, etc.) permanently suspended.
